At Mill Race we believe that every resident has
the right to high quality nursing care, which is
based on the latest research findings and best
practice. Residents will be cared for as individuals
and their independence and dignity will be
maintained regardless of their ethnic origin,
religious or sexual orientation.
Every resident and their family have the right to
participate in the planning and implementation of
their own care using an appropriate nursing model
as a framework. This will allow the resident to
maintain as much independence and self respect
as possible.
Every Resident has the right to be kept informed
of their diagnosis, prognosis and progress throughout their stay.
We strive to offer as much support as possible to
the family and friends of our residents.
We aim to ensure that the environment that the
residents live in is comfortable, warm relaxed and
above all homely. We are committed to providing
health awareness to our residents and carers and
will provide them health information as
appropriate.
We believe that our staff should have job
satisfaction by working in a calm, happy organised
professional environment. They will therefore be
able to grow in their jobs, through training, staff
development and appropriate management and
guidance. Mill Race is staffed by individuals who
are courteous, committed and motivated.
By using our skills, knowledge, research and
experience we aim to promote a quality, learning
environment for all staff enabling them to progress
to a high standard. By setting research based
standards of care we aim to provide quality care
at a measurable level.
